Stir the dough and roll it flat

They must bake a while, you know

I am making cookie dough

Serve them to my friends for tea.

Four little jam tarts
Mummy made for tea

That leaves two for me! (paint 4 paper plates like jam tarts).

The fisherman rows his boat along
His arms are beautifully brown and strong
He throws his net into the sea
And pulls out a fish as big as me!

THE DANDELION CLOCK

I picked a dandelion clock
And I held it near my nose
I blew the pretty fluff away
And counted up my blows

"It's one o'clock, it's two o'clock
I gave a great big puff -
"It's three o'clock, it's four o'clock"
Away went all the fluff

My dandelion clock was right
For mother called to me
"Come in and wash your grubby hands
It's nearly time for tea"

CAT

I have a pet, he's fluffy and white
His eyes are green, they shine at night
His fur is thick and warm, and deep
His whiskers waggle when he's asleep

His tail is long with a kink at the end
But his claws are sharp and my skin can rend
He laps his milk with a tongue so rough
Then he sits and purrs as he cleans his fluff

But the little mouse had gone

MICE

I think mice
Are rather nice
Their tails are long
Their faces small
They haven't any
Chins at all
Their ears are pink
Their teeth are white
They run about
The house at night
They nibble things
They shouldn't touch
And no-one seems
To like them much
But I think mice
Are nice!

I went to say good morning

IT'S SPRING

In springtime when the rains come down
I look for worms in the soft brown ground
I watch for grass and buds on trees
And pretty flowers and bumblebees!
God gave to us the seasons four
That we should love Him more and more

I like to look up in the sky
And watch the lazy clouds go by
I like to feel the bright sun's rays
Shining warmly upon my face!
I like to watch birds flap their wings
"I thank You, God, for all these things!"
